Who can define for us with accuracy the difference between the long and short term! Especially whenever our affairs seem to be in crisis, we are almost compelled to give our first attention to the urgent present rather than to the important future.

The week has flown by quickly, predominantly dedicated to my primary job, but I’ve managed to significantly practice passive English learning and contemplate parallel projects.
It’s been almost three months since I started keeping this journal, yet I still lack a clear daily routine and a system for daily reports. It’s time to bring some order to this. To start, I’ll introduce two principles: the daily report should be written by 8:00 PM, and every Sunday should be dedicated to analyzing the past week and strategically planning for the next.
Today is Sunday, so I’ll begin by analyzing the past week. As mentioned earlier, my main job consumed a lot of time and energy. Tasks were described chaotically, and many initial data were missing. By working overtime, I managed to complete the key volume of work more or less. I could have finished the tasks for the upcoming week, but from the 11th, corporate access and other technical communication channels will be unavailable for about a week (apparently, some repair work is being carried out or security systems are being patched).
Given this situation at my main job, I’ll try to focus on tasks that can be developed autonomously, such as covering code with tests.
Moving on to the planning of parallel projects, I need to pay particular attention to media projects and plan and start learning a number of strategically important skills. Special attention should be given to Blender and Unreal Engine – as it’s already the 3rd month of 2024, and I still have no progress in this direction.
🚀 Key Achievements for the Week:
- Maintained focus on the primary job, managing to complete key tasks despite challenges.
- Consistently engaged in passive English learning, integrating it into my daily routine.
📉 Areas for Improvement and Reflection:
- The need to establish a clear daily routine and a system for daily reports.
- Addressing the chaotic task description and lack of initial data in my main job.
🔮 Plans for the Upcoming Week:
- Adhere to the new principles of writing the daily report by 8:00 PM and conducting a weekly analysis every Sunday.
- Focus on tasks that can be developed autonomously, considering the upcoming unavailability of corporate access.
- Devote attention to media projects and begin learning strategically important skills, with a focus on Blender and Unreal Engine.
This week has highlighted the importance of structure and strategic planning in managing both my main job and parallel projects. As I move forward, I’m committed to establishing a more organized approach to ensure progress and balance in all areas of my work and personal development.
