[14] report — need set a daily standard plan

The third week of the challenge has begun, and I already feel that I’ve disrupted my routine. I constantly go to bed no earlier than three in the morning, and I can’t say I’m studying very effectively. Two weeks have passed quickly, but all I’ve managed to do is solve work tasks, and in the evenings, surf English-language content.

Overall, I feel progress and a continuous engagement in the challenge. I’m greatly inspired by various bloggers, influencers, researchers, and athletes. One of the motivating figures for me has been Rian Doris. He actively continues the work of Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi — the study of the flow state.

The flow state is the key to super productivity and genius. It’s somewhat like NZT from the movie Limitless, yet it’s entirely natural biochemistry. The question lies in how to learn and train oneself to enter this flow state through sheer willpower.

I’ll continue this empirical study on myself in the format of this English language challenge. Let’s see where this adventure will take me. And right now, I’m going to bed two hours earlier than usual.

Achievements for Today

  • I watched Rian Doris’s content, it was very inspiring, motivating and educational!
  • Fixed a bug at work
  • I started integrating light workouts throughout the day, such as simple callanetics.

Unmet Goals and Reflections

  • I think today I did very poorly in the assessment at work, due to lack of sleep (I slept no more than 4 hours a day in recent weeks) and lack of preparation. Also my problem is in theory. However, I wrote down all the questions that I could not answer and I will definitely restore and acquire all this knowledge.

Looking Ahead

  • I need to develop a plan for small, clear daily tasks
  • Continue normalizing my sleep pattern
  • I need to correct deficiencies in theoretical knowledge for the Computer science skills assessment!
