[130] Report — Monday: Long Weekend Beginnings and Future Plans

As the long weekend stretches out from April 28th to May 1st, I find myself reflecting on a fruitful Monday night, April 29th, 2024. At the stroke of 00:17 on April 30th, my mind is abuzz with the day’s achievements and plans laid for the days ahead.

Today marked another engaging session of online spoken English at Skyeng. The structured dialogues and spontaneous conversations inch me closer to linguistic finesse, one word at a time.

Simultaneously, I dived deeper into the realms of Python, exploring its applications through GraphQL APIs. The journey of continuous learning is thrilling, and tomorrow, I embark on Angela Yu’s 100 Days of Python. This challenge promises a richer understanding of Python’s versatility and will help fill any gaps in my current expertise.

Looking ahead, I am contemplating the development of my own CMS to replace WordPress, aiming for a sleeker, SPA-format blog. This endeavor will not only enhance my technical portfolio but also potentially culminate in an online course — likely free or minimally priced to benefit more enthusiasts.

With two more days off (April 30 and May 1), my plans are set:

  1. Ramp up on 3D courses: Blender and Maya. Tomorrow’s task is to select the courses and schedule daily lessons, targeting a 1% daily progress and estimating the end-of-month outcomes.
  2. As mentioned, kick off the 100 Days of Python challenge.
  3. Write a few Python lessons, such as crafting a simple business website, which could serve as practical applications of my learning.

Tonight, as I lay out these plans, the excitement of tangible progress and new adventures in learning fills the air. Here’s to a week of achievement and growth!

🚀 Key Achievements of the Day:

  • Participated in an enriching Skyeng English class, boosting conversational skills.
  • Advanced my Python knowledge, specifically in API integration with GraphQL.
  • Prepared to start a comprehensive Python learning challenge.

📉 Areas for Improvement and Reflection:

  • Need to balance the excitement of new projects with realistic time management to ensure each gets the attention it deserves.
  • Consider ways to efficiently structure learning and development activities during the remaining days off.

🔮 Plans for Tomorrow:

  • Begin the 100 Days of Python challenge to deepen my Python skills.
  • Select and plan 3D modeling courses, establishing a daily learning routine.
  • Start drafting Python lessons, focusing on practical applications like website development.
